4-Day Jewish-Themed Private Tour of Jerusalem

Heritage, Memory, Faith

Jerusalem is the beating heart of Jewish identity, memory, and faith. On this 4-day private tour, you will explore sacred places, ancient ruins, and modern landmarks that reflect thousands of years of Jewish history. From biblical times through the rebirth of the modern state, each site carries stories of resilience, devotion, and hope. Guided at your own pace, you will stand at the Western Wall, walk through the City of David, and visit memorials that preserve the lessons of the past. The journey is deeply personal, filled with moments for reflection, discovery, and connection to the Jewish people’s eternal bond with Jerusalem.

Day 1: Roots of Jewish Heritage in the Old City

Start your journey with a heartfelt “Sheheheyanu” blessing on the Mount of Olives, overlooking the timeless view of the city. Nearby, visit the Tomb of the Prophets, a cave complex connected to ancient prophetic figures by local tradition. Continue to the adjacent Mount of Olives Jewish Cemetery, the resting place of generations of Jews since the second Temple Period.

Crossing the Kidron valley, reach the King David Tomb Mark, a place revered in Jewish tradition on Mount Zion. Continue on foot into the Jewish Quarter, home of Jerusalem’s Jewish community since the 13th century. Pause at the restored Hurva Synagogue, an enduring symbol of destruction and renewal, and walk through the Cardo, an ancient Roman street that became a commercial Judaica center. After a lunch break, step into the Burnt House, where archaeological remains evoke the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 CE, and its adjacent Herodian Quarter. End the day in prayer and reflection at the Western Wall, the holiest place where Jews gather in devotion.

Day 2: Ancient Jerusalem and the Second Temple Period

Continue into the City of David, the oldest part of Jerusalem, where archaeological discoveries have uncovered palaces, tunnels, and fortifications tied to biblical kings.

Visit the Pool of Siloam, linked to the water systems that sustained the city during ancient times, and ascend the “Pilgrims Road” to the Southern Wall Archaeological Park, where steps and gates once led into the Temple. Conclude with the monumental Kidron Valley Tombs, magnificent rock-cut structures that testify to Jewish elite life and death practices in the Second Temple period.

Next, visit the bustling Mahane Yehuda Market, filled with colorful produce, spices, and local foods that reveal the vibrant heart of Jewish daily life. After a lunch break, drive through Mea Shearim, an ultra-Orthodox neighborhood that reflects Ashkenazi traditional Jewish customs and communal devotion.
