4-Day Private Tour of Jerusalem & Dead Sea

Sacred Sites, Living History

This 4-day private tour highlights Jerusalem’s sacred sites and the wonders of the Dead Sea. Walk through biblical streets, explore ancient ruins, and experience the desert’s breathtaking beauty. From the Western Wall to Masada, every moment blends history, faith, and unforgettable landscapes.

Day 1: Old City Sacred Traditions

Start the day on Mount Zion at the Room of the Last Supper, where Jesus dined with his disciples before his arrest. Beneath it is King David’s Tomb mark, a revered place of prayer and Jewish devotion honoring Israel’s greatest king. Continue into the Jewish Quarter, where narrow alleys reveal synagogues, lively squares, and ancient remains. At the Herodian Quarter, explore houses once belonging to priestly families 2,000 year ago, with mosaic floors, frescoes, and ritual baths.

At the Western Wall, pause among worshippers placing handwritten prayers into the stones. The air is filled with murmured psalms, faith, and reverence. Next, walk the Via Dolorosa, retracing Christ’s suffering. Pilgrims touch stone walls, sing hymns, and carry crosses along the Stations of the Cross. Conclude at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where incense lingers in the air. Here, Christians venerate the place of crucifixion, burial, and resurrection, creating a profound spiritual experience.

Day 2: Mount of Olives and Early Jerusalem

Begin at the Chapel of the Ascension, recalling Christ’s final moments on earth. Visit the Pater Noster Church, decorated with the Lord’s Prayer in many languages. From the Mount of Olives viewpoint, the domes, minarets, and golden stones of the Old City stretch out below. Walk to the Garden of Gethsemane, where ancient olive trees, gnarled and twisted, recall Jesus’ final night of prayer. Candles flicker inside the nearby church, inviting reflection. Continue to the City of David, where excavations reveal fortifications, palaces, and water systems linked to biblical kings.

The underground path leads to the Pool of Siloam, where pilgrims once cleansed themselves before ascending to the Temple. End the day at the Southern Wall Archaeological Park, standing on the Temple steps where Jesus and countless pilgrims walked. The site’s mikvehs, stones, and inscriptions preserve the energy of ancient Jerusalem.

Day 3: Heritage and Memory in the New City

Continue to the Israel Museum, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed in the Shrine of the Book. Outside, a large model reconstructs Second Temple Jerusalem, helping visitors imagine the city during Jesus’ lifetime.

Stroll through Mahane Yehuda Market, where colorful stalls overflow with spices, fruits, pastries, and cheeses. Taste fresh pomegranate juice, hear vendors calling, and feel Jerusalem’s vibrant daily rhythm. In the afternoon, visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s national Holocaust memorial. The exhibits, photographs, and survivor testimonies evoke powerful emotions. The Children’s Memorial, lit by countless reflections, leaves a lasting impression of remembrance and hope.

Day 4: The Judean Desert and the Dead Sea

Begin at Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in desert caves. The ruins reveal the life of a Jewish sect awaiting redemption. Continue to Ein Gedi, a green oasis amid barren cliffs. Waterfalls tumble, ibex graze on rocky ledges, and biblical stories echo through the canyon where David once hid from Saul. Ascend Masada, Herod’s fortress above the desert. Walk through palaces, storerooms, and Roman siege works. From the summit, gaze across the Dead Sea and mountains of Moab. The story of the Zealots’ final stand brings themes of courage and freedom to life. Conclude with rest at a Dead Sea resort, floating effortlessly in mineral-rich waters under the desert sun. The salt tingles against your skin, offering relaxation and a memorable conclusion to a sacred journey.
